Woman Gives Birth at Rambam Following Endometriosis Diagnosis

A 42 year-old woman was diagnosed with endometriosis, and shortly before she was to undergo surgery at Rambam Health Care Campus to treat the condition, discovered that she was unexpectedly pregnant. She recently gave birth to a healthy baby girl by caesarean section with no complications.

Three-year-old Adir, who undergoes multiple dialysis treatments every week, recently celebrated his third birthday with a traditional haircutting ceremony, in the company of his family and the staff from Ruth Rappaport Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Nephrology Institute at Rambam Health Care Campus.

Sara Tzafrir, Limor Aizenbud, and Hagar Baruch made the Israeli Ministry of Health’s List of 30 Leading Influential Women for 2021 in the “Government Hospitals” Division. Sara Tzafrir was also named as “Outstanding Chief Information Officer” for 2020 by “People and Computers”.
