Rambam’s Clinical Trials Unit facilitates and supports all phases of medical research throughout the Rambam Health Care Center ecosystem. In addition to conducting early phase clinical trials, the Clinical Trials Unit provides comprehensive services to potential and active research projects throughout the hospital, from ideation through successful completion. Approximately 2,000 research projects are conducted at Rambam at any given time, with an average of almost 40 new projects joining every month. Around 50% have commercial applications.

Medical Devices Clinical Trials

Rambam provides high-quality, comprehensive clinical trial services for assessing the efficacy and safety of novel medical devices. The medical device category covers the entire spectrum of non-drug products for the healthcare sector, including devices for diagnosing, treating, imaging, and surgery; disposable medical items and accessories; digital applications to be used by the medical staff and/or patients, etc.

Healthy Volunteers Clinical Trials

Clinical research has always been a top priority at Rambam, with thousands of completed clinical trials and research achievements that include first-in-the-world and first-in-Israel medical treatments and devices. The hospital’s dedicated Early Phase Clinical Trials Unit is driven by vast cumulative experience and expertise in all clinical specialties, and boasts highly trained medical investigators, nurses, and research coordinators, as well as topnotch facilities. The Unit enjoys access to a genetically diverse healthy subject population, and high healthy volunteer recruitment and retention rates.
