Internal Medicine Consultation Unit

The Internal Medicine Consultation Unit to the Surgery Division operates under the auspices of the Division of Internal Medicine and provides consulting services to 14 departments of the Surgery Division. The unit also monitors patients with internal illnesses who are hospitalized in the surgery departments until they are released, and provides recommendations to their community healthcare providers. Patient monitoring is provided on a daily basis to all of the surgery departments.

The consultation services are provided by the unit staff on the day they are requested, including professional opinions of experts in sub-specialties such as cardiology, gastroenterology, and endocrinology.
