The Department of Internal Medicine H is one of six such departments at Rambam Health Care Campus, providing primary care for a wide range of internal medicine disorders.
The medical staff includes the director, Dr. Eyal Braun, a specialist in internal medicine and infectious diseases, and two attending physicians: Dr. Fadel Bahouth, a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology, and Dr. Dana Ben-Hur. In addition, the department has many outstanding residents in various stages of their specialization, some of whom are MD-PhD program graduates. Most of the department’s nurses have academic degrees and extensive experience in treating severely ill patients requiring intensive, full-time care.
The department plays an active role in teaching and training medical students from the Technion’s Ruth & Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, and others. The medical staff members are also involved as teachers and coordinators in related academic clinical curricula. The department’s team has been awarded several prizes of excellence in teaching from the Technion and from Rambam.
The department is actively involved in pursuing basic and clinical research in various fields of physiology and medicine. The senior team and residents have published their research in many peer reviewed international journals.
