Cardiology Clinical Trials
Rambam’s Center for Cardiovascular Research and Innovation, which is an integral part of Rambam’s cutting-edge Department of Cardiology, is the leading hub in northern Israel for conducting clinical trials related to the entire range of heart disorders. Headed by Dr. Oren Caspi, the Center welcomes collaboration with developers of medical equipment, and regularly takes part in worldwide clinical trials that assess novel drugs and devices.
The Center works closely with Israeli and international medical companies of all sizes, including start-ups, to help them obtain relevant and accurate clinical data, and determine the optimal applications for their products.
The Center’s large research team includes numerous senior physicians with expertise in a large variety of fields, such as electrophysiology, ICU care, heart failure, cardio-oncology, catheterization, structural heart disease, heart imaging, etc. Highly experienced in researching novel medical products, the team provides high-quality service that includes all aspects of clinical trials, including their design, management, data analysis and conclusions.
The Center for Cardiovascular Research and Innovation has access to a large pool of potential volunteers, since the Department serves cardiac patients from all of northern Israel who are either hospitalized at Rambam or are ambulatory and treated at various outpatient clinics and institutes
Cardiology patients are matched with suitable clinical trials which offer them the opportunity to undergo innovative treatments that can improve their conditions.
All clinical trials comply with international and Israeli regulations and are approved by Rambam’s Helsinki Committee. Several of the innovative technologies tested at Rambam over the years are today part of routine treatment protocols all over the world.
