The Laboratory of Reproductive Sciences at Clinical Research Institute Rambam (CRIR) studies basic and translational aspects of reproductive biology. We are mainly interested in the molecular and cellular pathways involved in ovarian follicular reserve preservation; methods to mitigate follicular loss induced by chemotherapy and cytotoxic treatments; investigating the pathogenesis of other insults to reproductive potential - such as intra uterine hypoxic events, preeclampsia and IUGR. Our research involves cell culture, animal studies (mice and rats) and analyzing human tissue (mostly follicular fluid derived for oocyte retrievals in IVF).
