The Pediatric Rheumatology Clinic cares for children with disorders affecting the musculoskeletal system. Approximately 1,000 children from throughout Northern Israel are treated in the clinic each year.
Disorders treated at the clinic include all types of pediatric rheumatological disorders such as juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, reactive arthritis, psoriatic arthropathy, autoimmune diseases such as lupus, dermatomyositis, Bechet disease, Polyarthritis nodosa, Kawasaki disease, and other types of vasculitis. The clinic also treats children with Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF), PFAPA syndrome and recurrent fever, as well as children suffering from non-specific pain of the muscles or bones.
In addition to diagnosis and treatment, the clinic's specialists provide physical and occupational therapy consulting services.
