Allergy, Clinical Immunology, and AIDS Institute

The Allergy, Clinical Immunology, and AIDS Institute at Rambam Health Care Campus provides services in four main areas:

Consulting Services to Other Departments
Institute physicians participate in teaching meetings and discussions in the different hospital departments and provide consulting services regarding hospitalized patients with immunological disorders. This consultation service extends to hospitals throughout Northern Israel for individual patients.

Clinical Services
The institute’s clinic provides medical services to patients with allergies, autoimmune diseases, who are immunocompromised, and/or with AIDS. Medical and nursing services are also provided to immigrant absorption centers.

Teaching and Training
The institute staff teaches and trains physicians, laboratory workers, and students. Training is provided in the framework of staff meetings and invited lectures. Training is also given to physicians in the Kupat Holim (HMO) as part of their professional enrichment studies in immunology and allergies conducted at Rambam Health Care Campus.

Research
Within the institute, basic and clinical research projects are carried out independently or in collaboration with other hospital departments, the Technion's Ruth & Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, and the Immunology Research Unit at Carmel Hospital in Haifa. The research activities are fully funded by research grants.
