Division of Surgery

The Division of Surgery at Rambam Health Care Campus, under the direction of Professor Doron Norman, encompasses all of the departments and units specializing in the various aspects of surgery, including urology, pediatric urology, urodynamics, adult and pediatric orthopedics, hand surgery, plastic surgery—including breast reconstruction and cosmetic surgery, thoracic surgery, cardiac and vascular surgery, otorhinolaryngology surgery, head and neck surgery, eye surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and general surgery. The Division of Surgery is also responsible for managing the surgical personnel and coordinating with hospital departments and units.

The Division of Surgery is active in developing and improving the hospital's surgical services by expanding the types of surgery performed, applying advanced technologies, and coordinating recruitment of surgeons with unique specializations.

Members of the Division of Surgery are active participants in various research and teaching programs, including training interns and residents according to scientific council guidelines, sending surgeons overseas to learn specific sub-specialties, initiating cooperation and collaboration with other medical centers, and supporting research activities.
