Ten-year-old “Ninja Israel” Fan Diagnosed with Cancer Receives Encouraging Birthday Messages from Show Participants

Rambam Opens New Follow-up Clinic for Patients Recovering from COVID-19

Rambam Health Care Campus has provided comprehensive, dedicated care for more than 1,200 COVID 19 patients since receiving its first such patient in March 2020. Despite the high rate of success in treating the virus, some patients continue to suffer from ongoing health issues and require follow-up treatment, even after being released from the hospital. As the international vaccination campaign gains momentum, sources at Rambam caution: “COVID-19 will be with us for quite some time and we need to deal with its long-term consequences.”

Within Days: Two Rare Strokes Treated at Rambam

Rambam Health Care Campus has gained a great deal of experience in treating strokes, with a focus on those that require invasive intervention through cerebral catheterization. However, a phenomenon presented at Rambam in recent days managed to surprise the doctors, especially in light of the fact that not one, but two such patients were rushed to Rambam within two days. The phenomenon is so rare that the Director of Rambam's Department of Vascular Surgery and Transplantation had never seen it before.

Celebrating the Lives of Young Cancer Survivors

Despite the pandemic, Haifa is celebrating the annual Holiday of Holidays – honoring religious celebrations that fall in December. In conjunction with these celebrations, Rambam Health Care Campus recently hosted the Kites of Hope event for survivors of pediatric cancer, who got to make their own kites and decorate them with messages of hope.

Rambam Kicks Off COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign

The vaccination campaign for Rambam Health Care Campus employees started yesterday, with senior administration the first to be vaccinated. Approximately 800 employees received the vaccination yesterday, and they will be followed by thousands more over the next few weeks.
