Will Rambam Solve Israel’s Doctor Shortage?

To date, approximately 700 immigrant physicians who participated in a training program at Rambam Health Care Campus have successfully integrated into the Israeli healthcare system, and this year’s class is the largest so far. Their licensing exam success rate is higher than that of most Israeli students who studied abroad, and this year stood at 88.5 percent.

Rambam Marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Former Rambam Pediatric Oncology Patients Unexpectedly Reunited During Military Service

Bar, Chen, and Alvin met as leukemia patients in the Pediatric Oncology Department at Rambam Health Care Campus. A decade later, after all three had recovered, they met on an Israeli naval base where all three happened to be posted. They recently shared their story with Israeli news website Ynet.

Rambam Physician Heads International Hematology Conference

Good News for Teens with Asthma: Keep Exercising

Physician researchers at Rambam Health Care Campus find that with the right treatment, asthmatic teens can perform physical activity without complaining of difficulty. The treatment includes an inhaler that contains bronchodilators and steroids.

Possible COVID Breakthrough: Israeli Ministry of Health Approves Extension of Israeli Drug Trial at Rambam Medical Center to Other Israel Hospitals

The Ministry of Health’s decision ensued from the results of a clinical trial that began in January of this year at Rambam Health Care Campus. The data is encouraging: 14 out of 16 COVID-19 patients who received the new drug were released home. Rambam’s clinical trial leader stressed that ““with this drug, the chance of saving seriously ill patients increases dramatically.”

Global Breakthrough: Rambam Physicians Perform Cryotherapy to Remove Superficial Bladder Cancer

Cryotherapy has been performed for the first time in the world to treat superficial bladder cancer in a 60-year-old patient. The minimally invasive procedure represented a collaboration between Rambam Health Care Campus’s Department of Urology led by Professor Gilad Amiel and Dr. Isaac Hoffman, and representatives of Vessi Medical founded by Mr. Eyal Kochavi.

Parents of Mount Meron Victim Thank Rambam for Compassionate Care

Earlier this year, a youth was critically injured during the Lag B’Omer Mount Meron tragedy and hospitalized at Rambam Health Care Campus for two months. His parents expressed their gratitude to the hospital staff, thanking them for their son's treatment and the thoughtful assistance they received throughout his stay.

Girl Born with Rare Fragile Bone Disorder Learns to Walk
