The Rambam Health Care Campus Award for the year 2010 is granted to Professor Moshe Revach for his contribution to the field of military medicine, to the development of healthcare services, for his wide public involvement, for his initiative to the promotion and improvement of health systems for the sake of all patients, and for his efforts to magnify the reputation of medicine both in Israel and abroad.
Since the year 1987, the year in which he was appointed as the Director General of the Rambam Health Care Campus, Professor Revach led the hospital with extraordinary success to outstanding achievements both in the medical and in the academic worlds. Numerous new fields of activity were added to the Hospital in the course of his management years, new departments were established, many first grade experts joined the ranks, modern surgery rooms were built, and large quantities of advanced equipment were purchased and incorporated into the hospital.
Professor Revach was one of the partners of “Hazon Adam” (“Man’s Vision”) – a visionary plan for the development of the Rambam Health Care Campus; he stood at the helm of the International School for the Organization and Management of Trauma Systems, and chaired numerous state committees as well. Professor Revach has given numerous lectures before various academic institutions and hospitals, becoming one of the leading figures of the health system of the State of Israel.
On the basis of all the aforementioned, Professor Moshe Revach was found eligible for the 2010 Rambam Award.
