Limaca Medical is developing KORA, an electro-mechanically driven endoscopic ultrasound-guided biopsy devise for improved tumor diagnosis of gastrointestinal (GI) system tumors. KORA obtains higher quality core tissue for superior histopathologic analysis, improved diagnostic accuracy, and better clinical outcomes.
The device was developed by Rambam's team, and has two patent applications. The device will introduce a new generation endoscopic ultrasound-guided revolving biopsy needle to obtain core tissue samples for increased biopsy yield with fewer needle entries.
Status
The device is being developed by Limaca Medical and is in the incubator funding stage.
