Dr. Akram Assadi is an Attending Urologist in the Department of Urology at Rambam Health Care Campus.
Dr. Assadi graduated from the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem in 2002, and completed his residency in urology at Rambam in 2012. He spent one year as a research fellow at the Kidney and Prostate Tumor Vaccination Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School in Boston in 2011. During his basic research fellowship, he generated tumor fusion vaccines in kidney and prostate cancer. His experiments helped in conducting several clinical research trials running today.
Dr. Assadi is an active member of the Israeli Urological Association. His main clinical interests are pediatric urology, endourology and stone disease.
Dr. Assadi was accepted to a clinical fellowship in pediatric urology at the Texas Children's Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine and is to start his fellowship in July 2016.
