Dr. Daniela Zalman in an Attending Physician and Acting Director of the Oncology-Radiotherapy Inpatient Ward at the Oncology Institute at Rambam Health Care Campus.
Dr. Zalman graduated cum laude from the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, and in 2002 was certificated and licensed to practice Internal Medicine at Bnai Zion Hospital in Haifa. Her main areas of interest were the prevention of prescription errors by the development of a computerized drug order entry systems.
She completed a second residency in Oncology at Rambam. A specialist in internal medicine, oncology and palliative care, Dr. Zalman’s major interests are: supportive and palliative care in cancer patients and end of life management with a broad spectrum of activities; clinical therapy for hospitalized and ambulatory patients, teaching and guidance for medical and nonmedical teams and for patients and caregivers, and research.
In 2006/7 Dr. Zalman received the prestigious Martha and Mordechai Brodai reward for palliative care and pain relief.
