Dr. Karban is Director of the Department of Internal Medicine “C” and a Senior Physician at the Gastroenterology Department at Rambam Health Care Campus.
Dr. Karban graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Hebrew University at Hadassah Hospital, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Rambam. He spent two years (2000-2002) as a post-doctoral research scholar at the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore.
Dr. Karban is an Assistant Professor at the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa. His main research interest is the genetics of Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
