Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

Dr. Ramon graduated the Faculty of Medicine of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in 1982. He served in the IDF as the Chief Physician of the Israel Navy Commando Unit, and then as Assistant Director of the Israel Naval Medical Institute.
After his military service, Dr. Ramon completed a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Plastic Surgery (Head, Prof. I. J. Peled) at Rambam Medical Center. In 1993, Dr. Ramon was a Clinical Fellow at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine of the Medical College of Hampton Roads, Norfolk, Virginia.
Since 1994, Dr. Ramon has been a Senior Plastic Surgeon in the Department of Plastic Surgery, and in charge of the medical treatment of patients with chronic wounds in Rambam's Hyperbaric Unit. Since 1996 he has been the Director of the Department of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at Elisha Hospital in Haifa. Dr. Ramon is a Senior Lecturer at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, and has authored numerous medical articles in medical journals. He is a member of the Israel Medical Association, Israel Surgical Society, Israel Burn Association, Israel Diving and Hyberbaric Association, Israel Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Israel Diabetic Foot Association and American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
