Department of Neonatology and Neonatal Intensive Care

Dr. Ori Hochwald is a senior physician in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Ruth Rappaport Children's Hospital at Rambam Health Care Campus since 2012. He graduated with excellence from the Faculty of Medicine of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (2000), after which he completed his internship and residency in Pediatric Medicine at Bnai Zion Medical Center in Haifa. He then completed a fellowship in Neonatology in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of BC Children's and Women's Hospital in Vancouver, Canada, and continued there as a senior neonatologist for another year. In Canada he first specialized and then instructed conducting neonatologist-performed functional echocardiography. He spent one year in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea building and directing a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at La-Paz Hospital.
