Mr. David Green

Rambam Health Care Campus is honored to confer the Rambam Award for 2013 upon Mr. David Green in recognition of his diverse philanthropic and volunteer activities for the benefit of the Canadian Jewish Community and of Rambam Health Care Campus and the State of Israel.
The Paul Penna Jewish Day School, which is committed to educating the children of the Toronto Jewish Community, has been blessed with generous funding by Mr. Green and with his personal involvement as School Chairman.
Our children at Rambam have likewise benefited from Mr. Green’s veteran support of various projects within the framework of the Ruth Rappaport Children’s Hospital. At Rambam, David Green’s commitment to education, and to pioneering on behalf of community and state, has been expressed through generous donations toward building classrooms in the new Ruth Children’s Hospital. These classrooms will enable our hospitalized children to continue their studies as if they had not been absent from school at all.
We are further grateful to Mr. Green for bringing Rambam Health Care Campus to the attention of Canadians. In 1994,he and his wife, Daphne Wagner, founded Canadian Friends of Rambam under Mr. Green’s leadership as the organization’s president.
In acknowledgment of all the aforesaid, the Prize Committee has found Mr.David Green deserving of the Rambam Award for 2013.
