Ms. Yael Eilon is a registered nurse (RN), and had been active in promoting nursing standards at Rambam Health Care Campus since 1992. A graduate of the Henrietta Szold School of Nursing at Hadassah Ein-Karem, Jerusalem (1991), she holds an MA in nursing as well as an MA in Health Administration and a PhD in Epidemiology (2004).
Ms. Eilon first began working in the Spencer School of Nursing and subsequently became one of the founders of the Department of Nursing at Haifa University. Over the years she has served as a lecturer there on a variety of nursing courses ranging from basic nursing skills and epidemiology to critical clinical decision making.
For several years she served as the academic coordinator for the BA registered nurse program, also at Haifa University.
Ms. Eilon’s responsibilities at Rambam, have included: Staff nurse in various hospital departments including the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) and the Health Care Workers Clinic Nursing team, staff development, and training. She is also a member of the quality assurance, risk management, and patient safety team, manager of Rambam’s statistics unit, responsible for patient satisfaction surveys and staff surveys, coordinator of nursing research, and a team leader for the hospital’s Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation preparation.
