Mrs. Mariita and Mr. George Feldenkreis

Rambam Health Care Campus is proud and honored to bestow the 2015 Rambam Award upon Mrs. Mariita and Mr. George Feldenkreis in recognition of their exceptional achievements through business, community building, and philanthropy—in particular with regard to Rambam Health Care Campus and the State of Israel.

Born in Havana, Cuba into an Eastern European immigrant family, George Feldenkreis became involved in international business and Zionist efforts before moving to Miami in 1961. He made his home there and embarked on a lifelong career in the garment industry, going on to establish numerous companies that have flourished under his guidance and leadership. Mrs. Mariita Srebnick, the lifelong companion and wife of Mr. Feldenkreis, is an astute business leader in her own right.

Distinguished by their sharp commercial acumen, the Feldenkreises are highly respected leaders in the Miami business community and have received numerous prestigious awards for their business and civic achievements. Faithful to their South Florida community and Latino and Jewish roots, the Feldenkreises are actively involved in numerous causes, and the couple’s philanthropic generosity has extended worldwide.

Establishment of the Eva Feldenkreis Feig Ovarian Cancer Center in The Joseph Fishman Oncology Center at Rambam, provision of the daVinci Surgical Robot, and their ongoing support and leadership in American Friends of Rambam are but a few examples of the impact the Feldenkreises have had on Rambam Health Care Campus and the people of Northern Israel.

They have opened their home and their hearts to advance the cause of Rambam among their family and community. Their generosity is bringing healing through advanced medical services and reaching future generations. They are a shining example of how two people can grasp the challenges of the past and turn them into opportunities for the future.

In acknowledgement of all the aforesaid, the Honorary Awards Committee has found Mrs. Mariita and Mr. George Feldenkreis deserving of the 2015 Rambam Award.​​
