Dr. Esther Golan has been associated with Rambam Health Care Campus since 1984 when she was awarded a Ph.D. in sociology and political science from Tel Aviv University and joined Rambam's staff as Director of Human Resources. After serving in this position and accumulating years of experience in human resource management and hospital economics, working closely with physicians, hospital staff, and the community, Dr. Golan was appointed COO of the hospital in 1995 and became Deputy Director of Rambam in 2013.
Dr. Golan took up her post as Managing Director of International Relations and Chief of Strategic Development at Rambam in 2015. She has overall responsibility for advancing the hospital's strategic initiatives to fulfill its vision to place people at the heart of every medical endeavor, oversees development efforts, and is in charge of publicizing and marketing the hospital’s services.
Dr. Golan has played an active role in the hospital's decision-making process in its strategic plan for new facilities on its western campus, a move that has optimized the delivery of quality healthcare in Northern Israel and positioned Rambam as a globally recognized healthcare leader.
Dr. Golan has developed and maintained high quality relationships with Rambam donors around the world. A prodigious fundraiser, she has been responsible for many gifts that have transformed Rambam’s hospital campus.
