Paul Amir was born in Slovakia, survived the Holocaust, and in 1946 emigrated to Israel, to Haifa. With the outbreak of the War of Independence, he was sent to settle Kibbutz Yehiam in the western Galilee region, as a part of a group whose members were predominantly from the Haifa area. In 1960 he relocated to the United States where he married Herta.

The late Joseph Fishman of blessed memory was born in the Ukraine.
He spent his early years in a concentration camp. When World War II ended, he made his way to a British detention camp in Cyprus from where he eventually immigrated to Israel. He rebuilt his life with his wonderful family and was able to start a successful business.​

Eyal Ofer started his career in the family shipping business, and for him, as it was for his father Sammy Ofer, the maritime life has remained both a global commercial enterprise and an enduring personal passion. But shipping has not been the sole focus of his business legacy. Eyal’s entrepreneurial character inspired him to create the family’s international real estate business.
