As Northern Israel’s largest hospital and a critical national referral center, Rambam is taking rapid and comprehensive action to ensure patient safety and system readiness. Early this morning, Rambam began implementing emergency protocols, including releasing non-urgent patients to create capacity and flexibility, preparing the hospital’s underground emergency facility—a fully fortified medical center built to provide uninterrupted care during times of conflict—and activating its emergency headquarters and security systems, which are fully prepared to respond to evolving scenarios.
While all elective procedures and outpatient clinics have been suspended until further notice, essential services remain fully operational. Essential services include the emergency rooms, delivery rooms, maternity services, perinatal ward, dialysis center, and operating rooms for urgent surgeries, all functioning in accordance with Home Front Command directives.
Rambam is working in close coordination with national authorities and continues to monitor the situation closely. The public is asked to seek care only for urgent medical needs at this time. Further updates will be provided as needed.
