The Jacob and Gitla Medical Fund, a generous supporter of Rambam was represented by Professor Henri Zukier at a ceremony held in Greidinger Hall of the Ruth Rappaport Children's Hospital at Rambam.

The moving ceremony included greetings from Professor Rafi Beyar, Rambam's director and CEO, Dr. Mony Benifla, the director of Pediatric Neurosurgery and The Zukier Family Comprehensive Epilepsy Center of Excellence, and Professor Henri Zukier.

In a special moment, Ms. Shelly Darwish took to the stage and spoke about the excellent treatment her son, Liam, received at the center and how the treatment saved his life. There was not a dry eye in the house when Liam came to the stage to thank Professor Zukier himself.

The ceremony concluded with a plaque unveiling in The Zukier Family Comprehensive Epilepsy Center of Excellence.

The Zukiers are highly appreciated friends of Rambam and also sponsored the Jacob and Gitla Zukier Medical Fund Oncology Fellowships, which enabled some of Rambam's oncologists to further their education abroad.
