Conference organizers stated that the conference was an opportunity to share information, examine existing practices and latest trends in emergency medicine, create and strengthen relationships, and deepen the clinical collaborations between the countries.
Hyams commented: "There is no greater happiness and satisfaction than sharing knowledge that will ultimately lead to saving lives, and that kindles true friendship between countries."
Professor Halberthal concluded: "Rambam has the largest trauma center in Israel. Sharing our accumulated knowledge with other health systems is central to our hospital culture. We were happy to acquire partners who share our commitment to improving health systems' emergency preparedness. The high-quality team in Abu Dhabi is professional and dedicated to this enterprise. Personnel from the Emirati Ministry of Health and Israel's ambassador to the UAE, Mr. Amir Hayek, were present during the simulated mass casualty exercise."
