During a recent visit to Rambam Health Care Campus (Rambam) in Haifa, Israel, President Isaac Herzog and First Lady Michal Herzog praised the strength and resilience of the many wounded soldiers and patients being treated at the hospital.
Since the start of the ground operation in Lebanon, many severely injured soldiers remain hospitalized at Rambam. Israel’s president, Isaac Herzog and First Lady Michal Herzog, accompanied by Rambam’s Director General, Professor Michael Halberthal, visited the hospital on October 15. Their visit began in the Intensive Care Unit, and the Herta and Paul Amir Neurosurgical ICU where they greeted wounded patients and offered words of support and encouragement. They continued on to the Fortified Underground Emergency Hospital and various surgical wards across the campus.
President Herzog spoke warmly of the hospital’s medical teams, describing their work during the crisis as “sacred.” He added, “You are saving lives while navigating immense challenges and complexities. I want to express my gratitude to the Rambam teams for their dedication, professionalism, and personal sacrifice.”
