Dr. Fuad Basis is a specialist in emergency medicine and internal medicine, who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in 1978. In addition, he studied "Medical System Management" at the University of Haifa, followed by studies to become an "Organization Consultant" also at the University of Haifa.Currently he is the Director of the Medical ER at the Rambam Healthcare Campus.Dr. Basis serves as the Treasurer of the Israeli Emergency Medicine Council, and is editor of the print edition of the Israeli Journal of Emergency Medicine (www.isrjem.org).His main fields of research are in EM development and management, leadership in emergency medicine, and the development of "human resources" in the medical system.
