Dear Friends,
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Rambam Summit 2012: Where Every Second Counts. Focusing on surgical and trauma medicine, we will be targeting emergency medicine issues that matter to physicians and patients. Our participants are interested lay individuals, clinicians, scientists, decision-makers, and representatives of key institutions in Israel and the world. We are delighted that Prof. Dan Schechtman, the 2011 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry and the Honorable Mr. Daniel B. Shapiro, Ambassador of the United States of America to Israel will be our keynote speakers at the Scientific Conference on Tuesday.
An in-depth guided tour of developments at Rambam Health Care Campus will be included in Summit activities. Much of what we have accomplished is due to the generous support of our friends from all over the world. I am continually impressed and inspired by your commitment and, with your help and support, we will continue building one of the finest hospitals in the world.
The Summit will also be an opportunity for me to accompany our delegates from abroad on an inspiring tour of Israel. I promise fascinating visits to biotech companies in northern Israel with ties to Rambam, an inspiring trip to Jerusalem, and a memorable Carmen performance at the foot of Masada.
It is not insignificant that Rambam, where medicine, technology, and humanity intertwine, has chosen Madatech, Israel's preeminent museum devoted to scientific education, as the venue for the Festive Gala Dinner and Award Ceremony. Mr.Sanford I. Weill, Ms. Joan H. Weill, Prof. Richard L. Popp and Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein will be recognized for their leadership and dedication to humanity, Israel and the health care community.
I want to thank you for attending Rambam Summit 2012. I hope we continue together on our journey to provide advanced medical service for the people of Israel and the world.
Best regards,
Prof. Rafael Beyar, MD, DSc
