The Department of Physical Therapy (PT) provides services to patients hospitalized at Rambam Health Care Campus. Respiratory, orthopedic, neurologic, functional, and developmental PT is offered. The department also provides services to ambulatory patients suffering from joint, balance, back, and/or neck problems. A therapeutic pool is available for hydrotherapy. Physical therapy is also provided for patients with cystic fibrosis in the outpatient clinic.
The department monitors premature infants and provides developmental treatments for babies and children, including neurological rehabilitation for children following head injuries and/or neurological diseases.
The department team uses the most advanced treatment techniques, and rehabilitation devices and technologies available in the field, including: electrotherapy devices for treating pain and stimulating muscles for rehabilitation, whirlpool baths, and more.
