The Toxicology and Pharmacology Laboratory serves Rambam Health Care Campus along with other hospitals, clinics and industries, mainly in the areas of therapeutic drug monitoring, emergency toxicology, occupational toxicology, and special testing. Recently, the laboratory was united with the pharmacogenetic laboratory, enabling the performance of pharmacokinetic-pharmacogenetic research and to improve personalized medicine.
Tests provided by the laboratory include antiepileptic drugs, antibiotics, immunosupressants, antineoplastics, digoxin, paracetamol, Aspirin, theophylline, psychoactive medications, drugs of abuse, paraquat, acetylcholinesterase, heavy metals, and organic solvents.
