Department of Emergency Medicine

Dr. Irit Meretyk is head of the Emergency Psychiatry Service in the Division of Psychiatry at Rambam Health Care Campus. She specializes in emergency psychiatry, Consultation- Liaison (CL) psychiatry and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Dr. Meretyk is a graduate of the Hebrew University and Hadassah Medical Center, and completed her psychiatric training at the Talbieh Psychiatric Hospital in Jerusalem, where she headed a community rehabilitation center. As head of the Emergency Psychiatry Service, she has extensive experience in all aspects of emergency psychiatry and CL psychiatry, which includes extensive knowledge and utilization of internal and community resources. ​
