Dr. Netanel Horowitz is a senior physician and the Head of clinical trials at the Hematology Institute of Rambam Health Care Campus. He is Israeli board certified in internal medicine and hematology, and specializes in hematological malignancies and diagnosis and treatment of coagulation and bleeding disorders.

Dr. Horowitz graduated from the Technion’s Ruth & Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine in 1999. After completing his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in Hematology (2001–2008), he pursued a research fellowship in the Divisions of Hematology and Oncology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (2008–2010). In 2010, Dr. Horowitz was appointed as a senior physician at the Hematology Institute of Rambam Health Care Campus. He became an associate member of the Clinical Research Institute at Rambam (CRIR) in 2013, and established his own research laboratory. The same year, Dr. Horowitz was appointed as a clinical lecturer at the Technion’s Faculty of Medicine.

Dr. Horowitz has received several prizes over the course of his career, including the Israel Cancer Association Award for excellence residency in hematology (2005), the Dr. Alvin Hoffman Award, the Klitzberg Fellowship for Oncology Study and Research, and a research grant from the American Physician Fellowship for Medicine in Israel in 2008.

Since January 2014, Dr Horowitz has been serving as the Head of the Lymphoma Service of the Hematology Institute at Rambam and Head, Hematology Daycare Unit (2015).

His research and clinical interests include the interaction of lymphoproliferative diseases with their associated microenvironment, and lymphoma in unique clinical scenario (e.g. pregnancy, elderly patients). He has authored 18 scientific publications and book chapters.
