Dr. Shimrit Ringelstein-Harlev is a senior physician and the Head of Lymphoma service and Director of the Hematology day Infusion Unit of the Hematology and Bone marrow transplantation department of the Rambam Health Care Campus. She is Israeli board certified in internal medicine and hematology, and specializes in hematological malignancies, especially of lymphoproliferative diseases. She is also the head of the Israeli Lymphoma Working Group under the auspices of the Israel Society of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine.
Dr. Ringelstein-Harlev graduated from the Technion’s Ruth & Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine in 2000. After completing her residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in Hematology (2001–2009), she pursued PhD studies at the The Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine which she completed in 2013, on mechanisms of immune evasion of chronic lymphocytic leukemia cells . In 2019, Dr. Ringelstein-Harlev was appointed as an associate member of the Clinical Research Institute at Rambam (CRIR) and in 2025 she became o full member. In 2024 Dr. Ringelstein-Harlev was appointed as a clinical lecturer at the Technion’s Faculty of Medicine.
Her research and clinical interests include the interaction of lymphoproliferative diseases with their associated microenvironment, and methods by which to improve T-cell therapy in chronic lymphocytic leukemia. She has authored or contributed to 38 research works.
