Dr. Nadav Rinott is a senior physician in the Pediatric Orthopaedics Unit and leads the field of pediatric spine surgery, including the correction of complex spinal deformities and scoliosis, in collaboration with the hospital’s Adult Spine Unit.
Dr. Rinott graduated with distinction from the Technion Faculty of Medicine and completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Rambam Health Care Campus (where he passed both national board examinations with honors). Following his residency, he pursued clinical training in pediatric orthopaedics and subsequently completed three fellowship programs in Canada: general pediatric orthopaedics at McGill University in Montreal; spine surgery with a focus on deformity correction at Shriners Hospitals for Children and Montreal General Hospital; and pediatric spine surgery at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto. During his training, he worked with leading surgeons and was involved in the management of complex cases within high-volume clinical settings. In addition, he was certified as a spine surgeon by the international AO Spine organization after completing the AO Global Spine Diploma program.
Dr. Rinott’s combined training in pediatric orthopaedics and spine surgery enables a comprehensive and integrative approach to a wide spectrum of conditions, ranging from traumatic injuries and orthopaedic disorders in children, through congenital and acquired limb deformities and hip disorders, to complex spinal pathologies including idiopathic scoliosis, spinal deformities associated with neuromuscular conditions, congenital scoliosis, cervical spine instability, spinal tumors, spondylolysis, and spondylolisthesis.
Dr. Rinott is actively involved in the education of medical students and residents and has received an award for excellence in clinical teaching. He is also engaged in clinical research, with publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and presentations at international conferences.
Dr. Rinott’s therapeutic approach is based on a balanced integration of conservative and surgical treatment, with a preference for non-operative management as a first-line strategy and surgical intervention reserved for cases in which conservative treatment fails or is unlikely to succeed. He emphasizes patient autonomy and shared decision-making, ensuring that treatment options are presented in a clear, transparent, and balanced manner.
