Dr. Shlomit Yehudai-Reshef completed her PhD in Biology in 2003 at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Dr. Yehudai-Reshef pursued her postdoctoral research from 2003-2006 at Cornell University, New York, USA.

In 2008, she joined the Physics Department at the Technion, as a research-associate, where she conducted bio-physical research. This experience exposed Dr. Yehudai-Reshef to a new field in which she gained an expertise in live-cell imaging and image analysis.
In October 2012, she joined the Hematology Research Center at Rambam Health Care Campus and established the Leukemia research laboratory, located in the Clinical Research Institute at Rambam (CRIR), Haifa, Israel. She has been a member of the CRIR since 2016. In 2018 she was appointed CRIR vice-director.
Dr. Yehudai-Reshef is an avid believer in the synergism of collaboration between physicians and scientists and she is passionate about translational research.
Dr. Shlomit Yehudai-Reshef is currently leading the leukemia research laboratory together with Prof. Tsila Zuckerman. The laboratory focuses on acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and particularly on the regulation of the hematopoietic stem cell by its microenvironment, the bone marrow niche. Using a combination of genetics, imaging and functional assays, the laboratory has defined key components and abnormalities of the bone marrow niche and developed methods for altering niche interactions that have resulted in a pre-clinical experimental system using stem cells to model hematologic malignancies.
Dr. Yehudai-Reshefs' research is characterized by multidisciplinary approaches. Her broad set of expertise, skills and knowledge all contribute to an innovative and creative research. Her work has been published in leading journals and presented in many international meetings. Dr. Yehudai-Reshef is involved in many patented inventions.
Her academic and professional awards include: The Miriam and Aaron Gutwirth memorial fellowship for excellent Ph.D. students, The BARD Postdoctoral Fellowship, The Zeff fellowship trust, Postdoctoral Fellowship and the Lady Tata Memorial Trust: International Award for Innovative Research in Leukemia.
