Dr. Amit graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Rambam Medical Center.
In 1998 he was sent for a fellowship in Gynecology-Oncology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Amit served as Deputy Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology from 200-2006. Since 2006 he has served as Head of the Division of Gynecologic-Oncology. He is responsible for medical and surgical treatment of cervical, endometrial and ovarian cancer and complex pelvic surgery. Among his other responsibilities, Dr. Amit teaches medical students and residents. He has written over 20 scientific articles and presented his research in international meetings.
