Dr. Ella Shifrin is an Attending Physician at the Neurology Department at Rambam Health Care Campus, where she is also responsible for the Multiple Sclerosis Clinic. Dr Shifrin received an "Outstanding Staff" award at Rambam in 2003.
Dr. Shifrin graduated with honors from medical school in Moscow, Russia, and completed residencies in neurology and pain medicine at Rambam.
She is lecturer in courses for medical students and doctors at the Technion’s Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, and nursing courses in the fields of neurology and pain medicine. She was awarded an "Outstanding Resident Educator" prize from the Technion’s Rappaport Faculty of Medicine.
Dr Shifrin is a member of the neurological and neuro-immunological associations in Israel, as well as the national associations of pain and muscolo-skeletal medicine.
Her main interests are clinical studies in Multiple Sclerosis, identifying immunological markers in various stages of the disease, and immune-related diseases. In addition, she is engaged in clinical work and research on "headaches and neuropathic pain." She is responsible for management and treatment by spinal pump for relieving spasticity in neurological patients.
