1. PCR Tests for Coronavirus (COVID-19)
PCR tests for COVID-19 are available at Rambam. These are molecular tests performed to detect the unique genetic material of the coronavirus in the respiratory system. The two-minute examination is carried out by inserting a sterile cotten swab into the mouth and nostril for sample collection. The swab is then inserted into a container and sent to Rambam’s virology laboratory for testing.
For those traveling abroad, please bring your passport to the examination.
Routine PCR test results are provided within 12 hours.
Rapid PCR test results are provided within 4 hours.

Non-citizens arriving at the testing station during the normal hours posted above do not have to make an appointment in advance. Payment will be made at the time of examination. Be sure to bring your passport.

2. Serology Tests
Were you vaccinated abroad or are you recovering from COVID-19 and need a serology test in order to end your isolation? A serology test is a simple blood test (without the need to fast beforehand or any other special preparation) that checks for the presence of coronavirus lgG antibodies.
There is no need to make an appointment. If you are not an Israeli citizen, you can get tested, during the appropriate hours, without making an appointment. You will pay at the time of your examination. The blood tests are sent to Rambam’s virology laboratory for analysis.
