Riad Sheikh, Head Nurse of the Pediatric Emergency Department at Ruth Children's Hospital, Rambam. Riad completed his nursing studies at the Dr. Y. Zeida Academic School of Nursing, affiliated with Bnai Zion Medical Center, in 2012. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Haifa in 2014.
Dr. Sheikh began working as a certified nurse in the Pediatric Emergency Department in 2012. He completed an advanced course in Emergency Medicine in 2017 and an advanced course in Clinical Instruction in 2018, followed by a Master's degree in Public Health – Health Systems Management from the University of Haifa in 2020. During his work in the Pediatric Emergency Department, he served as a senior nurse, clinical instructor, and coordinated the advanced course in Emergency Medicine from 2020-2022 at the Rambam Hospital Training Center.
Riad also served as an instructor in APLS, Pediatric Sedation, and Nitrous Oxide courses. In 2022, he was appointed Deputy Head Nurse of the Pediatric Emergency Department. In 2023, he was appointed Head Nurse of the Pediatric Emergency Department.
