Dr. Tarek Saadi is an Attending Physician at the Gastroenterology Institute and the Liver Unit at Rambam Health Care Campus.
Dr. Saadi graduated (summa cum laude) from the Technion’s Rappaport Faculty of Medicine in 2003, and completed his residency training in internal medicine with subspecialty training in gastroenterology and hepatology at Rambam. In addition, he spent a year as a research fellow in the Liver Unit at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem.
Dr. Saadi is active in teaching and research activities. In the realm of clinical trials, he has been the site coordinator at Rambam for multicenter trials, examining therapies for viral hepatitis, fatty liver and liver tumors. In addition, Dr. Saadi is involved in basic research dealing with liver regeneration and liver tumors, and his other areas of research interest include hepatocellular carcinoma, viral hepatitis, fatty liver disease and biliary tract diseases.
Dr. Saadi has published a number of clinical research and case reports as well as review articles. He received an outstanding physician award at the Rambam, and has been active in the supervision of students on their MD theses. Dr. Saadi has presented posters and lectures at national and international meetings in gastroenterology and hepatology He is a member of the European Association for Study of the Liver (EASL), the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), the Israel Association for the Study of the Liver, and the Israel Society for Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases.
