Dr. Olga Kagna is an Attending Physician in the Nuclear Medicine Department at Rambam Health Care Campus and coordinates the PET/CT service in the department. She is a graduate of the MD program at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Samara in the Russian Federation, and a graduate Cum Laude of the Nuclear Medicine Residency Program at the Rambam Health Care Campus. Dr. Kagna was awarded the best resident by the Israeli Association of Nuclear Medicine, and subsequently completed an advanced training program on PET/CT imaging in London on a scholarship from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and an educational seminar on PET/CT in radiation oncology.
Dr. Kagna is a lecturer for medical students, mainly in the fields of endocrinology and oncology. Her main areas of research interest include: PET/CT for evaluation of lung lesions, diagnosis and treatment of patients with diabetic osteopathies, characterization of metabolic imaging findings in neuroendocrine tumors and developing accurate indicators for diagnosis and assessment of response to treatment in pediatric lymphoma.
