Dr. Michal Weiler-Sagie is an Attending Physician in the Nuclear Medicine Department at Rambam Health Care Campus. She is a graduate of the MD/PhD program at the Faculty of Medicine at the Ben-Gurion University in Beer Sheba. She completed her residency in Nuclear Medicine at Rambam and is a graduate of the "Rambam Atidim" Fellowship for Excellence in Research, under the supervision of Prof. Lior Gepstein. Dr. Weiler-Sagie then continued to a postdoctoral fellowship at the Weizmann Institute under the supervision of Prof. Michal Neeman and Prof. Gera Neufeld. She received the APF Edward Kass and Isaac Knoll Research Award in 2008 and was among the 5 finalists for the Marie Curie prize at the 2013 Annual Meeting of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine.
Dr. Weiler-Sagie is a member of the nuclear medicine boards committee and represents the Israeli Society of Nuclear Medicine in the Guidelines Initiative of the Ministry of Health. Her main professional interests are: the appropriate use of radioisotopes in the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients with oncologic and infectious disease, optimization of nuclear medicine procedures in face of the constant evolution in technology, standardization of reporting, and treatment with radioisotopes.
