General Surgery Section

Dr. Bishara is a 1982 graduate of the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology’s Faculty of Medicine.  After graduating, he completed an internship, the same year, in general surgery at Rambam Health Care Campus.  In 1991, Dr. Bishara completed his specialization in laparoscopy and bariatric surgery.

He is a certified examiner in the Surgical Certification Board Exam, a member of the Israeli Surgical Association, a member of the Israeli Society of Endoscopic Surgery, and a member of the Board of Physicians. 

Dr. Bishara is an esteemed, clinical assistant professor at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.  For many years, he has tutored medical students and exposed them to the field of biomedical engineering.  In 2010, Dr. Bishara was designated an outstanding lecturer by the Technion’s Faculty of Medicine for his devotion to teaching the next generation of young physicians.
His main research interest is in exploring the effect of pneumoperitoniuem on kidney functions
