Dr. Shirley Pollack is the director of Rambam’s Pediatric Dialysis Service in the Pediatric Nephrology Institute of the Ruth Rappaport Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Polllack graduated with Honors from the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric nephrology at Rambam. Since 2010 she is an attending physician in Rambam’s Pediatric Nephrology Institute and has led the Pediatric Dialysis Service since 2021.
Dr. Pollack’s responsibilities include clinical, academic, and teaching activities related to pediatric nephrology, including general pediatric nephrology, pediatric dialysis, and kidney transplantation. She has published several scientific articles on pediatric nephrology and general pediatrics. She holds an academic appointment of Clinical-Educator Lecturer with the Technion Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Pollack is the recipient of Rambam’s 2015 Exceptional Employee Award, and excellent lecturer award from the Technion Faculty of Medicine. She is also an active member of Rambam’s Physician’s Union.
