Psychiatry & Mental Health Divison

​Dr. Ofer Shamgar is Director of the Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic in the Division of Psychiatry at Rambam Health Care Campus. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Ben Gurion University of the Negev, and served as a military physician in the academic reserves and in a variety of command and management posts. He completed his internship and residency in psychiatry at Rambam, and earned a master's degree in Health Systems Management from Ben-Gurion University. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Ethics Department at the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine of the Technion, and is a member of the Medical Education Unit. His main interests are general psychiatry, medical education and medical ethics.​
