Dr. Abergel is Director of the Invasive Neuroradiology Unit at Rambam, and is responsible for patient management in the acute setup of large vessel occlusion, from patient selection to treatment in the angiography suit. Together with Professor Vincent Costalat (Montpellier, France), Dr. Abergel is the organizer and Co-Director of the “International Tel-Aviv Stroke Meeting a SLICE® Experience”. Under his supervision, Rambam has achieved the milestone of 150 thrombectomies per year, becoming the most experienced center in the field in Israel.
