Department of Neurosurgery

Dr. Shady Hayek is a senior physician in the Department of Neurosurgery at Rambam Health Care Campus since 2021. He received his MD from Gaitano Martino Medical School in Messina, Italy (2010), after which he completed an internship in medicine at Tel Hashomer Hospital, and an internship in neurosurgery at Rambam. Dr. Hayek was involved in several research projects during his internship period at Rambam and participated in European courses in neurosurgery and particularly related to the spine (EANS, AoSpine).

From 2016–2018, Dr. Hayek was in charge of the neuroanatomy studies for fourth through sixth year students in The Ruth & Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Technion–Israel Institute of Technology. Dr. Hayek has actively participated in and presented at several national and international conferences in the field of neurosurgery and spinal surgery.
