Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Dr. Amir A. Krausz is an Attending Surgeon in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Rambam Health Care Campus.

Dr. Krausz is a graduate of the Hebrew University and Hadassah School of Dental Medicine in Jerusalem, and went on to complete his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Rambam.

Dr. Krausz is a Clinical Instructor at the Technion Faculty of Medicine, and has attended several courses on development of clinical and frontal departmental teaching at the Technion Faculty of Medicine, including the prestigious PISGA teaching staff development program. He coordinates all teaching performed within the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and is responsible for the formation, organization and fluent operation of the departmental teaching for all forums of medical and dental teaching. He coordinates departmental teaching for 5th and 6th year medical students, student-nurses, dental hygienists and dental assistants' courses, etc.

Dr. Krausz’s main areas of interest are damage control in head and neck trauma, surgical treatment of temporomandibular joint diseases and infections of the head and neck. He has published several articles on various subjects in professional journals.
