Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Institute

Dr. Riad Mahamid is an Attending Physician in the Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Institute and Department of Internal Medicine “E” at Rambam Health Care Campus.

Dr. Mahamid graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Ramba.

Dr. Mahamid went on to become one of the founders of the Chest Pain Unit that treats patients admitted to the hospital with acute chest pain. After that he completed a clinical fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at Rambam. Dr. Mahamid is a clinical instructor at the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, and was recognized for his contribution to student's activities. In addition, he coordinates the academic lecture program of the Division of Internal Medicine at Rambam, and also coordinates a course on diabetes offered within the framework of continuing education at the Faculty of Medicine of the Technion.
